Some weddings feel larger than life, but others, like Dawson and Meghan’s intimate elopement in the heart of Ireland, feel like a beautifully quiet moment frozen in time. Spring Field Castle, nestled in Limerick’s lush countryside, provided the most picturesque setting for their heartfelt celebration. Travelling from Prince George, BC, they brought only their closest friends and family to witness their vows— and I was lucky enough to be invited along, all the way from Edmonton, Alberta, to capture their story as their Ireland wedding photographer.
The day began in the most peaceful way. The morning was relaxed, filled with anticipation but never rushed. As the clock struck 11, Dawson and Meghan exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. Afterward, we wandered the castle grounds, soaking in the history and charm of the estate. The stunning stone walls, rolling greenery, and timeless architecture created the perfect backdrop for their portraits— every photo a reflection of their love and the magic of the moment. This venue is an absolute dream if you’re planning an Ireland destination wedding.
We gathered back at the castle after the ceremony for a cozy lunch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt stories. Family photos followed, and then we took more time to explore the castle grounds, letting the day unfold naturally. As the sun set, we went to the estate’s enchanting greenhouse for an intimate dinner. It felt like home— their family welcomed me with open arms, and I left feeling like I had gained new friends rather than simply being their photographer. Ireland has so much to offer if you’re a 2026 bride looking for an intimate and breathtaking destination wedding.
Being a destination wedding photographer is one of the greatest joys of my career. There’s something extraordinary about witnessing love unfold in breathtaking locations, each place bringing its unique charm and character to the couple’s story. Dawson and Meghan’s wedding was a perfect reminder of why I adore travelling for weddings— the adventure, the connections, and the privilege of capturing love in new and exciting places. If you’re searching for a destination photographer for your European wedding or beyond, I would love to help bring your vision to life.
As I returned to my hotel in Limerick that evening, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmingly grateful. Each destination wedding fuels my passion for storytelling and deepens my love for exploring the world through my lens. If you’re dreaming of an intimate wedding in a far-off place, I would love to be a part of your journey. Let’s create something beautiful together— wherever your love story takes you. Whether you’re planning a romantic elopement in Ireland, a castle wedding, or a dreamy destination wedding in 2026, let’s make your wedding photography unforgettable.
